Funding local environmental projects

Our local community, landcare, environment and bush-land groups can now apply for funding to help restore our local environment on the Northern Beaches, under the Turnbull Government’s $5 million Environment Small Grants opportunity.

The Government is providing the grants under Phase 2 of its National Landcare Program, to help communities deliver natural resource management activities that improve the quality of their local environment.

Local groups and individuals on the Northern Beaches can now apply for grants to deliver activities such as invasive pest and weed management, revegetation, erosion control, community engagement, and Indigenous land management planning.

The Northern Beaches is blessed to have such beautiful parks, bush-land and landscapes and it is important to protect and preserve them for future generations.

Applicants have until 19 March 2018 to apply for funding of between $5,000 and $50,000 for each project. The small grants will be allocated through a one-off grant in the 2017-18 financial year.
