Stronger Communities Grant: Round 4 of the Liberal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme are now open.

Grants between $2,500 and $20,000 are available to eligible incorporated entities (not for profit; local government agency or body; trustee on behalf of a property trust with responsibility for a community asset) to fund small capital works projects that deliver social benefits to the wider community.

Please complete the Expression of Interest form available below, include any supporting documentation and return to Mr Falinski's office by Friday 14 September 2018.

Volunteer Grants: The Federal Government has made $20 million available for community organisations to apply for grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to help community organisations buy equipment such as laptops, pay fuel costs, train volunteers and improve their fundraising.

Safer Communities Grant: The Safer Communities Fund is an Australian Government commitment to keep Australians safe and secure by enhancing the efforts of local councils and community organisations to address crime and antisocial behaviour.

Due to the program’s success, the Coalition Government announced in May an additional $30 million in funding from assets confiscated by the Commonwealth as proceeds of crime.

Grant applications for round three of the Safer Communities Fund are now open.

Councils and community organisation are invited to apply through the third round of funding for security enhancement projects, including for initiatives such as CCTV, bollards, lighting and crime prevention through environmental design initiatives.

Applications for the infrastructure stream are open and close on 25 September 2018. Information on how to apply for funding is available on the Australian Government’s Safer Communities Fund – Infrastructure Stream website at, or by calling 13 28 46.

Community Sport Infrastructure: The Community Sport Infrastructure grant programme provides grants for sport and community organisations of up to $500,000 to upgrade sporting facilities in 2018-19.

These grants can be used to improve lighting, playing surfaces and accessibility for different ages and abilities.
