It's Time for Kick Off: Community Sport Returns

June 11, 2020

It’s Time for Kick Off

On the 1st of July, people of all ages will return to the sporting fields across the Northern Beaches.

The New South Wales Government has announced adult sport will return alongside under 18s from July 1. Northern Beaches representative, Jason Falinski MP has welcomed the decision.

“This is a great announcement for everyone in our community.” Mr Falinski said.

“Local clubs and players should see this as an opportunity to get some exercise, catch up with friends and improve the mental health of the Beaches.”

As per the New South Wales Government restrictions, food and drink premises in stadiums can open subject to the same requirements that apply in other food and drink premises and pubs and registered clubs.

Stadium operators will be required to develop and comply with a COVID Safe management plan. Which includes restricting numbers in order to comply with the one person per four square metres and up to 50 people in each of the seated food and drink areas, whichever is the lesser.
